Abstract

The article discusses the importance of language and metaphors in subject education. The author assumes that the subject teacher is also a lan-guage teacher, which highlights the importance of communication in the com-plex process of teaching. An analysis of selected arguments suggests the need for integrating language teaching with the subject teaching, particularly when it comes to the natural sciences in general education. The author, describing selected experiments, points to methodological solutions supporting postulated type of education.
